BILL BRADSHAW ILLUSTRATION

Hello and welcome to my online portfolio. I have worked in advertising, film and tv as a visualiser and storyboard artist for nearly 40 years, and I still love what I do.

This is a very straightforward site - no  fancy links - just a scroll-down selection of storyboards, animatic frames and concept visuals. Also, please bear in mind that none of the work on show here is finished art. On some of the bigger jobs I've had a couple of days to produce the goods, but I'm usually only given a couple of hours or at best overnight. That's the way I like it, though as I am at my best working fast. I'm enthusiastic, very quick to grasp ideas and I enjoy working closely with a director in order to get the most out of any project and whilst I like to lend humour to my work wherever possible, I'm equally happy if I can get my teeth into a nice little noir narrative!

My influences include such comicbook geniuses as Alex Toth, Gil Kane, Frank Bellamy, Brian Bolland, and Geoff Campion, fine artists like J.C Lyendecker, Alphonse Mucha and Norman Rockwell and any number of filmmakers from James Whale to James Cameron via Terence Fisher's Hammer classics and Budd Boetticher's Randolph Scott westerns. I've included here a varied range of my work  - from rapid-fire concept visuals and directors' boards, through finished storyboard and animatic frames to full-colour visuals.
